Having problems with dark under eyes ?!
If you’ve landed on this blog, chances are you are struggling with dark under eyes... If we’ve got that right then keep reading, in this blog we will cover why we get dark bags under our eyes and how to reduce eye bags.
WHAT CAUSES DARK BAGS UNDER YOUR EYES?
Dark circles around your eye area can be caused by a variety of reasons with our lifestyle playing a huge part! Poor diet, lack of sleep, dehydration, stress, smoking and alcohol consumption can all have an effect on how your under-eye area appears. Aside from lifestyle factors; genetics, age, sun exposure and allergies can all have a impact on dark under eyes.
WHAT IS THE BEST UNDER EYE BAG TREATMENT ?
Just like how there are a lot of causes to darker under eyes, there are different ways we can tackle them!
HYDRATE BOTH INSIDE AND OUT!
Hydration is *SUPER* key to reduce the appearance of dark under eyes. On average an adult should be drinking between 6 – 8 cups of fluid a day. Dehydration causes the skin under the eyes to appear loose and less structured. Hydrating properly will plump the skin back up giving a smoother and brighter appearance.
Fluid intake is important, but so is ensuing your skincare products have hydrating active ingredients within them. Try our Hydration Hero Facial Serum, an all-over facial serum that contains Hyaluronic Acid + Polyglutamic Acid to hydrate every layer of your face. To seriously *double down* + lock in the moisture, use the Eye Roll under eye masks. These reusable patches help to seal the deal and let your skin drink up all that hydrating goodness.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP
Lack of sleep can affect us in different ways, both mentally and physically. Dark and puffy under eyes can be a direct cause of sleep deprivation. When we’re tired our eyes can look puffy, red and swollen. Cooling the under-eye area can reduce the appearance of puffiness or bags. This works by constricting blood vessels and reducing swelling. We suggest leaving a serum mist of your choice in the fridge along with the Eye Roll under eye masks. Once cold, generously spritz the serum mist over your face and apply the chilled under eye patches. Leave for 15 minutes.
USE PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN VITAMIN C
Vitamin C reduces the effects of the enzyme tyrosinase, which is responsible for the production of melanin, the pigment that gives skin its colour. Vitamin C protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals + also helps brighten the overall complexion. We suggest using The Circle Slayer Jelly Eye Serum. Gently pat a small amount onto skin around the eye area and layer with our Eye Roll under eye patches to help seal in all the goodness. After 15 minutes remove the eye patches and massage any remaining product into the skin.
